The European self storage market has changed since 2018. Occupancy across the region now sits above 80%, competition has intensified and customers expect to research, book and access a unit without speaking to anyone. Join Martin Wild (MD, Kinnovis) and Lou Stokes (Head of Sales, Kinnovis) for a practical look at what it takes to start a self storage business today: market research, site selection, capital requirements, choosing the right technology from day one and getting your first customers through the door. A session for anyone planning to open a facility, or reassessing an existing one, in today's market.

Led by our Sector Forum Digital Chair, Jill Leckie, this essential session will equip you with actionable strategies you can put into practice immediately.

Join us for our next YSN in-person event on 14th Oct 2026 bringing together the next generation of the self storage industry for a day of big conversations, fresh perspectives and plenty of opportunities to network
